Dartington Hall is a social enterprise supporting the Dartington Hall Trust, a charity which specialises in experimental work in the fields of Social Justice, Sustainability and the Arts. Based in the beautiful South Hams area of South Devon the closest major town is Totnes. The Estate is within easy reach of the M5, A30, A38 and Exeter airport.
The Hall itself is a magnificent 12th century courtyard with 12 conference or function rooms and 51 bedrooms.Based on a 1,200 acre Estate, where other facilities include 208 "student" style bedrooms, and state of the art facilties geared to host the Arts, with dance studios, music rooms, a cinema and Theatre, which can be and is used for public performenaces, practise space, or creative development. 750 acres of the land is currently used for farming, with the rest developed into residential accommodation, Grade 1 listed gardens and forest open to the public.
The River Dart runs through the property. Outside activities can be organised for groups, including canoeing and fishing. Camping can be arranged and a regular programme of festivals are hosted on the Estate attracting thousands of visitors.
