Training is integral to the success of any organisation; size and turnover should not restrict the need for improvement of either the individual or their company.
Operating in a sector where changes occur on an almost daily basis, the association run courses throughout the year to keep those involved up to pace in a broad range of topics.
Courses provided range from the basic building blocks of working in the business travel sector, complaint handling, sales and negotiation technique training through to tender management. Key business skills such as marketing finance and human resources management are also well catered for.
All courses have been designed by an external training consultant and with over twenty different topics to choose from the HBAA’s courses are seen as a complimentary service that further enhances the professionalism of the sector.
Members are also encouraged to participate in other sessions currently being negotiated with other leading trade organisations such as Eventia and CIPS, which provide a better overall understanding of our industry and a chance to network.
To encourage participation in our training agency members, dependant on size receive either one two or three delegate places per year funded by the HBAA. Further training for agency staff, and training for hotel partner staff is charged at a substantially discounted rate as a member benefit.
