HBAA Agency Engagement Event to take place in Malta from the 13-15 June
This first overseas meeting is a result of the HBAA’s partnership with Conventions Malta.
The Agency Engagement meeting will bring together agency directors and managers to share insights on issues that agencies are facing in the industry today. The programme will include a panel based discussion on removing the challenges of overseas events and an ‘open mic’ session on topics that delegates raise.
The meeting will be followed by a showcase of Malta with a special itinerary to allow agents to experience Malta as a top business and events destination.
Agents will visit the luxurious Vilhena Palace for dinner on the first night. Next day visitors will explore the ‘Three Cities’ (the Gardjola Gardens, the Grand Harbour Marina and Rinella Bay). Additional tours include the Capital City of Valletta, along with visits to the St. John’s Cathedral and the Grand Harbour.
HBAA Chair Angie Mason comments “It’s exciting that our partner Conventions Malta has created this wonderful opportunity to hold our meeting in Malta and to experience this spectacular destination.”
Karen Abela, Manager M.I.C.E – UK & Ireland for Conventions Malta, explains “We are delighted to have the opportunity to host the HBAA’s next Agency Engagement Event in Malta. With a packed programme of activities, agents will get a first-hand experience of what the island has to offer”.
HBAA, the trade association for the hotel booking agency, apartment and venue community, has more than 300-member organisations including over 80 agency and 225 venue members who work collaboratively in the accommodation, meetings and events sector.
