QHotels, etc.venues, IET Venues and Lord’s Cricket Ground have been named the UK’s number one hotel, conference centre and sporting venue for its exemplary levels of customer satisfaction by BDRC Continental end-of-year assessment.
Recognised as the only industry accreditation scheme based entirely on the voice of the customer, the Venue Verdict Accreditation Programme provides a comprehensive and unbiased measure of service standards in the meetings market.
Venues and groups are benchmarked on a number of measures, and the chains recording the highest headline scores for the year are independently recognised as providing the best customer experience for meetings and events. This year's results are based on 22,000 individual responses from event planners across a pool of over 360 participating venues.
The awards are split into 3 groups; recognising the different operational challenges that face groups of different sizes.
These are the following 'service superheros' who achieved the best ratings in 2013:
Large Groups (20+ venues)QHotels. With six of its hotels achieving Venue Verdict’s Gold Standard Accreditation for 2013, QHotels also scooped the sought-after Gold Standard Brand award.
Mid -Sized Groups (6-19) etc.venues
Small Groups (3-5) EEF Venues.
Alastair Stewart, managing director of etc.venues, commented on their achievement: “All industry professionals know that delivering service excellence day in day out is hard enough so winning this award for the third year running is something the whole etc.venues team can be rightfully proud of particularly because it is the industry’s clients that determine these awards. Over the past 12 months we have looked after over 500,000 delegates in our 14 venues and I’m especially pleased that as well as getting bigger we have maintained our quality at the highest level.”
In the category Venue Awards, The Westerwood Hotel and Golf Resort near Glasgow from QHotels was awarded No.1 Hotel. IET Birmingham’s Austin Court received the No.1 Specialist Conference Centre and Venue Awards and Lord’s Cricket Ground was named for fourth consecutive year the UK’s number one Sporting Venue.
