So the current trend is that our US friends across the pond are keen to book more events into the UK especially London due to the favourable exchange rate. I wonder if the recent terror attack will make them think twice, I sincerely hope not.  London is such a great location with a vibe that is unique to the City alone. With the exchange as it is London is a much more viable option over other European Cities.  I was at a recent event for over 2000 people in Copenhagen.

Please see the new VisitEngland/Tourism Alliance Tourism Employment video.  You will see that it features the importance of employment represented by the live event production industry.

There is a massive thank you due to everyone who helped raise the £19,500 at the Annual Dinner in January.  It really was an incredible achievement and the team at Beyond Food and Brigade where simply blown away!  The funds will make a huge impact the lives of the people they support. The money raised from the Annual Dinner, plus everything else we raised throughout 2016 has helped us exceed £24K for the charity so far.

HBAA is proud to partner with 'The Future in 15' Show to keep HBAA members updated on the latest innovation affecting our sector.

Operations Director Imogen Brettell from Lancaster serviced apartment agent Citybase gives an overview on the increasingly evolving and competitive market and her take on the challenges, benefits and opportunities for operators, agents and travellers.

This year marks a milestone in the HBAA’s history.  It’s 20 years ago this year that the HBAA was formed during a Christmas party with Peter Ducker, Simon Scott and Bob Dixon, among others. They realised the real benefit of an association where knowledge ideas and challenges could be exchanged and together they could be a stronger force than as individuals.

So what was happening in the market 20 years ago?
